1. Information I Collect

When you use this website, I may collect the following types of information:

  • Contact form submissions: Your name, email address, phone number (optional), project type, and message content when you submit the contact form.
  • Newsletter subscriptions: Your email address when you subscribe to my newsletter.
  • Project calculator: Your email address and project specifications when you use the pricing calculator tool.
  • Analytics data: Anonymous usage data collected by Vercel Analytics, including page views, referrers, and general geographic information (country/region level only).

2. How I Use Your Information

I use the information collected for the following purposes:

  • To respond to your inquiries and provide project estimates
  • To send newsletter emails about web development insights (only if you subscribe)
  • To analyze website traffic and improve user experience
  • To prevent spam and abuse through rate limiting and honeypot fields

3. Third-Party Services

This website uses the following third-party services:

  • Vercel: Website hosting and analytics (privacy-first, no cookies)
  • Resend: Contact, calculator, and newsletter email delivery
  • Gmail (Google Workspace): Contact form and calculator email delivery inbox
  • Cal.com: Booking and scheduling (when you book a discovery call)
  • Google AI (Gemini): Powers the on-site AI chat assistant
  • Microsoft Clarity (only if enabled): Session recordings and heatmaps — set via NEXT_PUBLIC_CLARITY_PROJECT_ID
  • PostHog (only if enabled): Product analytics — set via NEXT_PUBLIC_POSTHOG_KEY (host via NEXT_PUBLIC_POSTHOG_HOST)

Each service has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data. Clarity and PostHog are disabled unless their keys are configured.

4. Cookies & Tracking

This website uses no advertising cookies. Vercel Analytics is cookieless and privacy-first. Optional analytics (Clarity session recordings, PostHog) load only after you accept the cookie banner — decline and nothing loads. First-party storage used:

  • localStorage: To remember your dark/light theme preference, exit-intent dismissal (7 days), cookie choice, and — only if a quote request fails to send — a retry queue of that request (max 20 entries, auto-deleted after 7 days)

5. Data Retention

  • Contact form submissions are retained in email for up to 12 months
  • Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe
  • Analytics data is aggregated and anonymized; no individual tracking

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data I hold about you
  • Deletion: Request that I delete your personal data
  • Unsubscribe: Opt out of newsletter emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email

7. Data Security

I implement appropriate security measures including rate limiting, input validation, HTML escaping, and honeypot fields to protect against unauthorized access. All form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS.
